Feet Are Our Foundation

Our feet are our foundation.  Most of us do not realize just how important our feet are and we tend to take them for granted.  Our feet set the tone for the rest of the body to follow, they set the pace for the ankles, knees, hips, back and neck.  When we start to experience painful feet, we will tend to compensate or over compensate to avoid the discomfort/pain.  If left unchecked, we normally will start to feel discomfort/pain show up on other parts of the body.  Even if we don’t have painful feet, if the arch is starting to drop, the discomfort/pain could be subtle.  An example of this is, you’ve been a size 10 shoe all your adult life, then one day you notice your toes pressing against the tips of your shoes, now you’re a 10.5.  Our first thought is, what is going on?  The arch is dropping.  The arch needs to be supported, no matter what we do, gravity will continue to pull that arch down every time we take a step.  Wearing insoles/arch supports, helps keep the arch where it’s supposed to be. The insoles/arch supports help create (for flat feet) or reestablish the foundation. Get the foundation in order and the rest will follow.
